Don MacChesney Shooting Biography
I started shooting at jack rabbits with a BB gun from the front fender of a moving ’36 Chevy in what is now downtown Van Nuys, in the Peoples’ Republic of California. Now, I mostly shoot guns that are older than I am. And I fix and restore guns about 30 hours a week and shoot three days a week in good weather. This year I will be competing at Vintage Bench Rest, F-Class, High Power and Chunk. And I will be directing the Weekday High Power Matches that I originated ten years ago. I serve Bench Rest Rifle Club as Board Secretary and hassle President Scott Pieper whenever I get a chance. I am a life member of NRA, a member of Piasa Rifle and Pistol Club, Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club, President of Winchester Rifle and Pistol Club and Program Director of St. Louis Antique Arms.
